Becoming a Professional Mover

Chart about industry moving facts

In many minds, moving crews are often lumped into the “unskilled laborer” category, but becoming a professional mover takes a lot more than a pair of working arms. The best moving companies make sure their crews are sufficiently trained in proper carrying procedures, customer service, and problem solving skills before they put them on a job.

If you’re considering a job as a professional mover, here are some basic facts about the moving industry that you should know.

At Cento Family Moving, we strive to make sure every item—big or small—is protected. We shrink wrap and pad wrap all furniture, so that it does not get scratched or scratch something else during relocation. We transport items in the safest possible way (for example, mirrors and plates are shipped on their edges). We use only new, never-before-used boxes to complete your move (never a box from a dumpster).

Of course, we believe a moving company is only as strong as its weakest link, so we focus our efforts on hiring and training professional movers that meet our standards for customer service, dependability, and care. If you think this fits your personality and experience, we would love to meet you!
